Less Than Two Weeks Away”
Monster Media and LIME are excited to bring you the fifteenth annual LIME Jet Around Cayman, Jet ski race on June 13 2011, at Public Beach, Grand Cayman. With over 36 racers participating in this year’s event, it will be a close rival to 2009’s 37 competitive racer’s turnout with competition levels at its peak. Jet Around Cayman is proud to be offering five classes this year, encouraging riders of various skills and experience to come out and enjoy their love for Jet Skis and racing.
REGISTRATION
The new registration deadline for JAC 2011 is Wednesday, June 8th 2011. A one-time early registration discount of 10% will be offered for non-CIWA members and a 15% discount will be offered for CIWA members who register on or before June 3, 2011. No discounts will be applied after this date. Registration and waiver forms may be submitted to Monster Media offices; 21 Eclipse Drive, Rankin’s Plaza or emailed to events@monstermedia.ky. Pro-Open Class
· Pro riders are those who have substantial racing experience and have advanced competition skills or persons who have been classed by the IJSBA or APBA as Pro racers.
Expert-Open Division
· Riders classed as “Pro’ by IJSBA or APBA regulations will not be able to enter in the Expert-Open class or any other division classes below Pro-Open. However, riders in the Expert-Open Division can race in Pro Class.
Rookie
· Rookies must not have ridden in a Jet Around Cayman race ever before.
· Rookies must ride a stock Jet Ski craft. This means bolt-on parts only and no engine porting. If there are concerns raised, your jet ski may be inspected by a JAC official before or after the race.
Amateur Division
· Amateur riders have ridden in Jet Around Cayman previously but are not considered at the Expert or Pro level of competition.
Female Division
· Female riders only in this division.
Veteran Class
· Riders must be over 35 at the time of the event in order to qualify for this class.
Jet Around Cayman 2011 is happy to announce that we will be bringing a variety of international riders of very high caliber to the competition this year. Show off your Cayman pride and skill; come compete amongst some of the World’s top competitors.
International competitors - Team Guadeloupe
· Cedric Ramassamy - twenty two years old recently finished 2nd to the last championship 2011 in April 2011 open class Kawasaki 300
· Patrick Gounouman - thirty years old finished 3rd to the last championship 2011 Champion of Guadeloupe 2011 Open class Kawasaki 300
· Pascal Gounouman – twenty four years old - one of Guadeloupe’s best Kawasaki 300 riders
· Davy Vaitilingon – twenty five years old, The Guadeloupian rider has been world champion in 2007 and unfortunately broke some parts in 2011 championship Kawasaki 300. He’s back to take a stand at JAC 2011!
· Fabrice Limon– at thirty two years old, is another top rider for the Kawasaki 300
International competitor – USA – Rob Greenwald
· Rob Greenwald - with over sixteen years experience in professional Jet Ski racing, Rob brings with him USA’s four-time national champion title along with a profound determination to take this year’s title at Jet Around Cayman.
In addition to the top international racers, Grand Cayman will be honored with the presence of International Ministry of Sports Tourism and International TV production companies from Guadeloupe and Canada coming down to enjoy the race!
JAC EVENTS SCHEDULE
Road Show: Saturday June 4, 2011 from 11:00am to 3:00pm
Leading up to the event, Monster Media and LIME kicks off the events with a multi-stop Road Show where we will be broadcasting live from locations giving the public an opportunity to get their pictures taken with select racers and Jet Around Cayman models as well as meet and greet with the VJ’s from Vibe 98.9FM including LIME Morning Ignition Show hosts Rik Rok and VJ Mars. The Road Show ends with a bang at Coconut Joe’s where there will be Rider craft displays with the opportunity to get your photo taken with one or multiple of the Jet Around Cayman Models. Photo opportunities and JAC 2011 Bikini Calendar sponsored by Reflections are only $5 with all proceeds being donated to Charity.
Kick-Off Party: Margaritaville- Friday, June 10, 2011 from 8:00pm to 1:00am
Come check out the Jet Around Cayman Kick-Off Party Friday, June 10, 2011 at Margaritaville. Party kicks off at 8:00pm with hosts Vibe 98.9FM VJ’s spinning hot mixes and will lead into a surprise concert with ultimate Live Performance Artist! Jet Around Cayman rider and models will be there, so come meet and mingle with the talent!
Race Day: Public Beach- Monday June 13, 2011 from 11:00am to 4:00pm
Race Day is an event not to be missed! Thousands flock to public beach to get front and center for the high energy and fierce competitive race that launches at 1pm sharp. The course will be one full lap around Grand Cayman, staying outsdie the reef and passing through multiple check-points. Starting at Public Beach heading North around West Bay, crossing over to Rum Point, past Old Man Bay, down and around East End, across and around South Sound, and finishing up back at Public Beach. The Awards presentation is immediately following the finish of the race, estimated ending around 4pm.

These tournaments will be an all around great way to be a part of the Jet Around Cayman beach activities. Prize packs will be awarded to the winning teams.
Family Games and Activities
Above all Jet Around Cayman is ecstatic for friends and families of all ages to come down and enjoy a great day. There will be a kid’s zone bouncy castles and slides, an area for family games and activities, WOWBALLS Expo, and a whole lot of fun to keep all the little Jet Skiers-to-be entertained for the day
Main Stage
Jet Around Cayman’s first runway Bikini Model Show will be hosted on the main stage, along with two live performances throughout the day, performances by local dance crews, and live updates from VIBE 98.9FM’s VJs.
